Public Transport

It’s easy, cheap and quick to get to and from the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre by Public Transport and there are a number of options.

The Supernatural Express

Direct Bus Service from Southern Cross Station, Melbourne

The Supernatural Express – a Direct Bus Service – no stopovers or changeovers and no hassles – is a brilliant way to get to and from the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre with ease. We use and recommend this one.

Friday 13 December 2019

Three different departure times are available on Friday – 7am, 11am and 6pm. This service departs from Southern Cross Station bus terminal and travels direct to the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre, then stopping at Reception, Top Camp (S9) and Tom Mankeys (G8, with easy access to Bush Camp). Approximate travel time is 2 hours.

Sunday 15 December 2019

Two different departure times are available on Sunday – 12pm and 4:15pm. This service departs from the Reception Bus Stop, with pick ups from Top Camp Bus Stop (S9) and Tom Mankeys Bus Stop (G8) before travelling direct to Southern Cross Station bus terminal. Approximate travel time is 2 hours.

A ticket on The Supernatural Express costs $37 each way (inclusive of booking fee). Bookings can be made by clicking on the button.

RESERVE MY SEAT ON THE SUPERNATURAL EXPRESS

All services depart on time. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.

Luggage is stored either underneath the bus or at your seat. Generally, the bus can transport the following luggage per person: a bag, a tent and a cooler. When departing Southern Cross, please check in your luggage all the way through to your end destination by loading your bags in the designated bays before boarding.

Getting home safely is part of Meredith. Thanks very much for taking the Supernatural Express.

V/Line Train & Bus Service

Train and bus services are operated by V/Line. A Public Transport timetable is available to download here.

From Melbourne:

To get to The Sup’, take the train from Southern Cross station to Geelong station (approx. 1 hour ride) and at Geelong, catch the connecting Ballarat bus to Meredith Town (approx. 40 min ride). From Meredith Town Bus Stop, a shuttle bus runs to the site (10 min ride), coinciding with all V/Line arrivals on Friday. The shuttle bus costs $5 and will drop you at the Reception Bus Stop.

From Ballarat:

To get to The Sup’, catch the bus from Ballarat railway station to Meredith (approx. 40 min ride). From Meredith Town Bus Stop, a shuttle bus will run to the site (10 min ride) which will cost you $5 and will drop you at the Reception Bus Stop.

Getting Home

Catch the shuttle bus from the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre Reception Bus Stop to Meredith Town on Sunday (approx. 10 mins). The shuttle buses coincide with V/Line departures from Meredith Town on Sunday. You must register for the Sunday shuttle buses at Helper Hut Central (near the Gift Shoppe) by 9pm Saturday night; the cost of the trip is $5.

To Melbourne:

Take the shuttle bus from Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre Reception Bus Stop (remember to book before 9pm Saturday). Then catch the Geelong bus from Meredith Town to Geelong station (approx. 40 mins) and at the station jump on a train to Southern Cross station (approx. 1 hour ride).

To Ballarat:

There will only be one shuttle bus on the Sunday that will coincide with the Ballarat timetable. Once in Meredith Town, catch the bus to Ballarat station (approx. 40 mins).


Avalon Airport

Services between Avalon airport and Geelong, Bellarine Peninsula and the Great Ocean Road are currently operated by SkyBus. One-way trips cost from $18 per person to Geelong. Door to Door service to Meredith Town is available from $93 per person. For further information phone 1300 SKYBUS (1300 759 287).

SkyBus operates services to meet every major flight arriving and departing Avalon Airport. Passengers using SkyBus to the airport should remember to check arrival/departure times.
